So over the past two days, I have realized that I am in love with organic skin/hair care products. o_O WHYYY?! Because my hair is falling out, haha. Therefore, I’ve decided to go all NATURALE and start using Burt’s Bees products…like Burt’s Bees VERY VOLUMIZING POMEGRANATE & SOY SHAMPOO!
My hair stopped shedding as much as before, so I think I’m going to stick to organic products. DID YOU KNOW…that most commercial shampoos contain sodium lauryl sulfate and parabens which can be found in car engine detergents?? Yeah, so I think my skin and scalp are allergic to the stuff. Also, I’ve been drinking lots and lots of water these days. I like waking up in the mornings and finding my pee clear as day. Then around midday I take three tablets of Biotin vitamin supplements, which says is good for healthier hair, skin, and nails.
But I do miss the days when my hair used to look like this:

[MY BOSS]: (to OFFICE LADY) Aren’t you hot in black?
[OFFICE LADY]: I just came back from a funeral.
[MY BOSS]: Oh…I’m so sorry. (turns and whispers to me) Awkwarrrd.
lol?
Hihi. My cousin has been staying over at my house since Friday, so we decided to pay another visit to Disneyland over the weekend. I’d say it was a lot more enjoyable than the last time we went - more rides open, cloudy day, nice breeze…seemed really sweet. Kevin let me borrow his camera for the summer (thank you, dear), but it started to ran out of batteries by around noonish. Sigh sigh. So I’ve only got pictures of ToonTown.
Best rides of the day: (1) Our first time going on California Adventure’s Tower of Terror; (2) Grizzly Bear Rapids, where a sweet boy gave us his Fast Passes; and (3) Matterhorn - is that how you spell it?
I love my kuya. Even though he acts like he’s five, he still can make me laugh like no other. (:
Tomorrow, we have church in the morning and maybe a trip out to Santa Monica. SO glad I’ve got Wednesdays off.
Yesterday I went back to UCLA after a long absence for my first day of CRC training. The four hours was pretty enjoyable, but I realized that I have A LOT to learn. It most definitely seemed like I was the noob of the group, and everybody noticed. -________-
BUTTTT, I am nonetheless super stoked to work with WSP next year! Kim Yau is super sweet and she coached me a little about the “Spiral Method” and “Cake Model”, haha. I really should continue attending CRC training, but working from 10-6 PM Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays ain’t helping me. At one point during training, I realized that I have not fully expanded my “network”, or better put, I feel like my first year was sort of…wasted. Believe me, my freshman year at UCLA was BOMMMMB, but looking back, I can see that I stuck to my comfort zone for the most of it and didn’t explore different areas like I thought I would. Spending time at the SAC really showed me that. I hope that next year things will change and that I can mature academically as well as make an effort to influence my community. I’ve got a lot to learn at the SRC, but that’s what school is all about - LEARNING and GROWING!
“I miss laying beside you.”
Oh babycakes, come down here to socal and let’s play.
So today my sister and I went to Disneyland and had a real good time. Whenever I bond with my little sis, I know I’ll be in for a treat. She kept saying throughout this past week how stoked she was to spend the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY with me and just me. I guess she misses me quite a bit. She hates how I’ve been working during our summer break.
Disneyland was hot and had too many kids for my taste. We scored on Space Mountain though, when an old Asian man and his grand-daughter handed us their Fast Passes. SM THREE TIMES! (: After that, we bounced over to California Adventure and were disappointed when California Screamin’ was down, as well as this other ride we wanted to go on. So instead we bummed around here and there (there’s really nothing to do at CA Adventure) and then decided to enter this interactive attraction. We walked in to find ourselves in a huge room with its walls made up of differently sized/shaped television screens showing random clips of the Disney movies we grew up watching. The montage was made up of scenes and songs from movies like “Sleeping Beauty”, “Aladdin”, “Hercules”, and so on. We sat on the floor and didn’t budge for about 30 minutes. I don’t know why, but I got a little emotional. Made me want to buy every Disney movie out there and rewatch them this weekend. I really wish that when my kids are growing up, they’ll have a taste for Disney movies and not be attached to video games and the like. Anyway, I think this and my sister and I providing voice-overs for Iago and Jafar in another interactive room were the highlights of my day.
They changed the fireworks show, too. My sister did some hustlin’ and grabbed us some sweet seats. (;
So for Day Two of our Disneyland adventures we are planning on hitting up: (1) Indiana Jones, (2) California Screamin’, (3) Grizzly Bear Rapids? (4) Splash Mountain, and (5) all the mini kids’ rides that we young adults have forgotten about.
